A Sad Day

Sometimes I forget I'm human. I forget I have feelings.

Today has been one of those days.

Connor Franta left O2L (if you haven't heard of that YouTube channel, you've been living under a rock for the past few years), I heard an emotional song that brings back memories, and I was feeling just...depressed.

It's been going on for months now; it's been nearly a year. August was a tough time for me in 2013, and it's been hard since then. A lot has happened. I haven't been happy. It will take me a long time to be happy once again, but I know it will be worth it in the end.

I've been slacking on these blog posts. Are they even worth it? Does anyone even read this?

I'm sorry this isn't what I typically post, but I'm human. I have feelings. Sometimes I need to let it out.

In An Apartment!!!

I haven't posted anything for four whole weeks, and I'm sorry for that! I was taking a short break because the stress of moving + a blog was not working out for me.

So now that I am on Summer break, I am going to try a new schedule for Summertime. I will be posting every Monday and Thursday. That means you will get two posts a week! I will go back to posting on Tuesdays once school starts back up again. Now that I have moved, this is my first week trying out the schedule. What do you think of it so far?

I moved into an apartment a little over a week ago and I love it! It's a lot smaller than our house...meh.

Rhino and Rye are sharing a room with me. Rhino is now staying in a 20 gallon tank and Rye will be getting a (55 gallon?) tank shortly.

I also took down my large dollhouse, but I will be putting it back up once I move into a house sometime next year. Speaking of dolls, you will hopefully be seeing more of them this Summer.

I also got MAG #55 last week! Her name is Courtney Ella Rose and I love her!!!

My blog posts will also be centering more around my life and what goes on in it (but nothing too personal). I'll be posting funny stories and more things about me.

Puffins?

I love this cereal called Puffins, but I was really disappointed when I tried the cinnamon flavor.

I mean, I thought they would taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch or something like that.

Moving?!

Yes, I am moving. It's only going to be a few states away, but I'm still nervous nonetheless. I have a very tight schedule at the moment, so I apologies if I have late posts. My life is crazy right now, but school is ending soon. If one post a week is too easy in the Summer, I might step it up to two. That will be a challenge, but I'm up for it.

Q: Will I be taking all three pets?

A: Yes! I would never leave my family behind.


Q: When are you moving?

A: I will be moving in June.


Q: Are you driving or flying?

A: Driving! I'm hoping Ripley will cooperate. She doesn't really like car rides.


Q: Will you be getting any new pets when you get to your new place?

A: I am definitely considering it. It wouldn't happen for a long time after we've settled in, that is, if it even happens at all.

Why I Almost Never Polish My Nails

I almost never polish my nails because:

• The polish comes off in .2 seconds.
• The polish takes 12+ hours to actually dry completely.
• I mess up one hand trying to do the other.
• It chips off the day after.
• My nails turn yellow after polishing them often.
• My nails break and the polish comes right off with it.
• I'm lazy.
• Nail polish remover smells bad.
• I can never get the polish bottle open, so I spend 20+ minutes trying to do so.

Never question my bare nails. Please don't.

Floral Print Obsession

I am guilty of a floral print obsession. I plan on decorating my room with a vintage-flower-like theme once I move to a new house and I find myself gravitating towards floral clothing when shopping. It's become such a big problem that I felt it was necessary to talk about it here on my blog. Heh...

These two tops are from papaya. They are super cute and comfortable for both Spring and Summer. I find that papaya has lots of clothing like this that suits my girly style for a really affordable price. I also love pairing these tops with either a pair of jeans or shorts along with my eyelet Keds.


I've also recently been obsessed with this app called The Hunt. What you do is take a photo of something and people will "hunt" for the place where you can buy something similar to it for a good price (doesn't the name make sense now?). Most hunts are fashion and beauty related, but other things tend to pop up on there as well. I haven't helped anyone or sent someone frantically searching the web to fulfill my fashion needs (yet). I usually follow different hunts for outfit ideas and see different styles that people have. I come across a lot of floral prints and pastels on there...muhaha...

Staying Positive + Pet Playtime

Most people tend to be negative. Instead of focusing their energy on the great things in life, they focus on the bad things. I tend to do this myself and I find that the people around me do this as well.

Today I decided to see how positive I could be. I pushed aside all the negative aspects of my everyday life and said hi to old friends. When something bad happened, I was sentimental and caring towards people. I smiled a lot more than I usually do. Did you know that simply smiling on a bad day makes you happier? Don't believe me? Try it sometime!

My day ended up being super great! I haven't had such a happy day in months, so it was great for a change. It does take lots of effort to be positive for a whole eight or more hours, but it's totally worth it. I challenge you to try this. Don't complain for a whole day. Be nicer than you usually are. Be positive! Do you think you can do it? If you don't think you can, how do you know until you try?

I also snapped a few photos on Saturday to celebrate Hamster Day! The hamster was discovered on April 12, 1930, so Hamster Day is celebrated every April 12th. I gave Rye and Rhino some treats to celebrate and played with each pet. I also got to snap a few photos, so here are some of my favorites.

DIY Orangeade

Orangeade is one of my favorite drinks. It's really simple to make!

You wil need:

• 1 gallon of water
• 2 cups of sugar
• 2 cups of orange juice

1. Pour orange juice into pitcher.

2. Fill pitcher with water.

3. Add sugar and mix well.

Now you can pour some into a glass and enjoy!

April Updates

Happy April everyone! I felt it was about time I updated you on the pets.

Ripley has been doing very well! She's been playful as usual and the ear problems she was having back in December haven't came back...hopefully I won't jinx it! She has been eating a new food since the one she was eating before was discontinued. The transfer onto the new food was very easy and she didn't give me any trouble at all.

Rhino has been doing well, too! I don't really have much to say about him besides the fact that he is a very picky eater. He usually leaves behind lots of pellets and anything healthy in his bowl.

Rye is doing really good! He's been exercising lots on his wheel at night and eats almost all of the food in his dish. He will eat anything you give him except pellets.

Spring Favorites 2014

Today I will be showing you some of my favorite things I will be using/reading this Spring.

My first Spring favorite is this honeysuckle honeydew lip balm by eos. All of eos' lip balms are moisturizing and smell super good. They're also super inexpensive and can be found at lots of stores.

The next thing I'll be using this spring is the Taylor Swift Enchanted Wonderstruck perfume. It smells super good and I use it almost every day.

Another thing I'll be using a lot this Spring is the Lavender Vanilla 3-wick candle from Bath & Body Works. It smells amazing!

I'll also be using the Peach Bellini 3-wick candle from Bath & Body works.

Although it's no longer Winter, I'll still be using the Winter Candy Apple lotion from Bath & Body Works.

To wash my body, I'll be using the Enchanted Orchid shower gel from Bath & Body Works.

How could I forget my Mint Chocolate 3-wick candle from Bath & Body Works?

For shampoo, I've been loving the Pantene Pro-V Sheer Volume. It makes my hair feel super soft!

My second favorite scent is Coach Poppy.

My favorite mascara ever is The Rocket by Maybelline. I get mine in the color brownish black. I also make sure I get the waterproof formula so it doesn't run if my eyes start to water.

One of my favorite books is Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard. I plan on reading more of the series this Spring.

I've also been loving the Breyers Gelato in Tiramisu and Divergent by Veronica Roth. I'm reading Divergent on my iPad and I just finished the Gelato yesterday...I'll be eating lots of that this Spring!
