Snow Day + More Cute Photos

Yesterday, Ripley turned 6 years old. I've had her for four of those years, and they have flown by so fast. Speaking of pets, I've had Rye for almost a year now. He's grown so much, and so has Rhino.

I have been using my new Canon Powershot Elph 115 IS for the past month to take some photos of random things. Ripley decided to be super cute, so I took advantages of some of her cute poses. Here are some of my favorite photos I have taken so far:

I also made a tumblr today, and I would really appreciate it if you checked it out!

DIY Fishtail Rubber Band Bracelet

I've currently been obsessing over rubber band bracelets. They are fun and easy to make. If I had to pick my favorite one to make, it would have to be a fishtail.

You Will Need:
  • Two Pegs (You can either use them from your loom or tape two pencils together)
  • Rubber Bands
  • A Hook (If you don't have one you can use your fingers)
  • A Clip
1. Twist your first rubber band into a figure eight onto your pegs.
2. Add two rubber bands onto the pegs.
3. Loop the one side of the bottom band over the other two bands.
4. Loop the other side.

5. Add another band and repeat steps 2-4 until you have a bracelet long enough to fit around your wrist.
6. Take the last band you looped and hook it onto one side of the clip.
7. Pull the bracelet off of the loom.
8. Take out the two rubber bands sticking out of the bracelet.
9. Hook the other side of the bracelet onto the other side of the clip.

It may take you a few tries to master the fishtail bracelet, but you'll probably be making them all the time once you get the hang of it!

DIY Valentine's Day Header

Hello everyone!

Since Valentine's day is coming up, I decided to make a new header. One of my New Year's resolutions was to start doing DIY blog posts, so here is my first attempt to showing you how to make your own header for your own blog or website.

You will need:
  • Plain Printer Paper
  • A Pencil Or Pen
  • Scissors
  • Scrapbooking Paper
  1. Gather all of your materials.
  2. Fold the printer paper in half.
  3. Draw half of a heart and cut out both sides. Then open up the slit of paper to get a full heart.
  4. Trace the heart onto your scrapbooking paper.
  5. Keep tracing until you have the amount you desire.

    6. Trace multiple colors for a cute effect.
    7. Repeat steps 2 & 3, but this time with a bigger heart.
    8. Keep tracing the heart until you have your desired amount.
    9. Cut out each individual heart.
   10. Arrange your hearts until you have a desired pattern. Take multiple photos of different patterns until you find one you like. You can add in text using photo editing sites like pic monkey or feel free to use things like stickers to add your own personal touch.

I hope you liked this cute Valentine's day DIY! Be looking for my next DIY, which should be coming shortly!

Time Flies

Well, 2013 flew by. Once August came and school started, the year pretty much ended. Let's recap some major events from 2013:

January: Woke up in 2013. I accidentally fell asleep the day before.
February: Valentine's day. I got Rye! Can you believe he is almost one year old?? He probably already is, since he was a few months old when we first got him.
March: I made my Pinterest account and my blog! I went on vacation and to AG Place Kansas City as well.
April: April fools. So special.
May: School ended! I was kind of sad for it to be over.
June: I decided to check out new YouTubers that I hadn't seen before.
June or July: I finally got around to watching The Hunger Games.
July: Not that much different from June. July 4th flew by and I got my new doll, Saige!
August: School started.
September: Boring.
October: Halloween and Rhino turns one year old!
November: My birthday (Nov. 22) along with the Catching Fire release (it came out on my birthday, but I saw it a few days after it came out)! Thanksgiving flew by.
December: Christmas and goodbye 2013!

This year has been filled with so many fun things. I got to over 200 followers on Pinterest! I also noticed that every time I upload a blog post, so many people stop by and read. It really means a lot to be blogging not only for my close friends, but others on the internet as well.

I have made up my mind about my blogging schedule: I will try to post a new entry every Tuesday. I have been doing that for a few weeks now, and it seems to be working out!
